1. Buy groceries and alcohol in either Hurricane, La Verkin, Kanab, St. George, or Cedar City  but before Springdale, as their is only 1 grocery store and it is very expensive
  2. There are no showers in Zion National Park, there are 3 shower facilities at the south entrance and 2 at the west entrance
  3. There is no laundry inside the park there is one facility at the south entrance and one at the east entrance
  4. Pets are only allowed on the Pa’rus trail and must be on a leash at all times
  5. There are 2 campgrounds in the park at the South Entrance. The Watchman can be reserved, the South campground is first come first served. You need a reservation especially during holidays and weekends. A site cost $16-$18. or boondock
  6. If you are trying to obtain a permit, have multiple people in your party apply to increase your odd of getting the permit you desire.
  7. Apply for a back-up permit. I got a Narrows Permit for a Sunday and Monday and my husband got a permit for a Tuesday and Wednesday so if the weather was bad we had a back-up plan.
  8. If you plan to do Angel’s Landing and/or Observation point hike go on the earliest shuttle Zion offers or the trails will become very crowded.
  9. Backpack the narrows if you are physically able and have the gear!
  10. Best times to visit Late May/early June and mid September to Mid October
